I’m not usually too fickle with cosmetics, its takes me a long time of continued use and good results to start raving about a product. That said, I bought this Pure Clay Detox Wash on Sunday. It is now Tuesday and I am already raving.
As I suffer with sensitive skin prone to breakouts I am quite careful with the products I use on my face. My skin gets dry easily so I need cleansers that are gentle but effective. I have heard a lot about the benefits of using products containing charcoal for acne treatment so when I saw this product on offer for £3.99 I thought it was worth a go! The usual price is £5.99 and I would definitely say this is very reasonable for the quality of the product itself.
It is a thick, gloopy, black gel like substance, of which you only need a small about as it froths up and spreads across the face easily. I got a tiny bit in my eye the first time and it set my eyeball on fire, so do be aware of that! I used this on Sunday and Monday night and even after rinsing it straight off I could see that it had calmed down a few inflamed areas. When I woke up the next morning my skin felt nourished and soft and any blemishes I had the day before had healed well and were easy to conceal. It didn’t dry my skin out at all. I am so happy with the results so far. I will definitely continue to use this every evening and see how it goes. L’Oreal also do a Pure Clay Detox mask that has been around for a while, which I will consider buying if my skin continues to respond well to the wash.
*I haven’t yet tried the Botanics Day Cream pictured but will definitely pop a review up when I do
