The Ordinary Cosmetics Review

Best skincare for pigmentation

Since giving birth skin pigmentation on my face has been a huge problem for me and I am always looking for fixes and cover ups. I also get hormonal breakouts and clogged pores so I am always keeping my eyes peeled for new products to try.

I refuse to pay big prices for cosmetics partly because I’m not a millionaire, but also because I believe you don’t have to. In my opinion, a lot of the larger cosmetic brands abuse the fact that most people feel pressured to have a culturally acceptable appearance and are therefore willing to part ways with a lot of cash in the hope products will work for them.

Not only do I not like to spend lots, but I also don’t think its healthy to put various cocktails of chemicals on my face long-term. In an ideal product I like natural ingredients or at least only a few ingredients rather than a list of 20. I also try an avoid products that have been tested on animals where I can.

And this is where I introduce THE ORDINARY.

The Ordinary is a brand that specialises in natural chemistry and biochemistry to produce honest and effective cosmetics with sincere price tags.

They do not test on animals and do not include parabens, sulphates and mineral oils.

Their website gives you every bit of information that you need to be confident enough to start purchasing products.

Best skincare for pigmentation

I have purchased these products.
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (been using 6 weeks)
Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA (been using 6 weeks)
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (been using 1 week)
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution (been using 1 week)

They come in cute, little bottles with pipettes so it is easy to apply and all of them are water based so they soak into the skin naturally just like water would leaving no oily traces behind.

This is currently what my bare skin looks like. Wish I had taken a before photo so I could compare because I can definitely see the pigmentation is fading slightly and breaking up on my forehead. It hasn’t changed at all yet on my cheeks and under eye area but I guess it just takes time. I may experiment with a couple of other products recommended for pigmentation. My skin is definitely a lot brighter than it was that’s for sure.

I have been gradually introducing new products so I have a chance to see what effect each one is having on my skin. The great price point for each product means you can play around with a few until you find what works for you .

It’s definitely worth having a look at their products whatever your skin complaint.
