Here’s what I got in my September Birchbox;
I am a big fan of products and love trying out new things, but I hate having lots of half empty containers that I can’t bear to bin but at the same time, I don’t want to use! They quite often end up in no mans land (a box in my bathroom storage cupboard full of half empties).
I hate spending a fortune on products as well, so having to pay full price for a full size product when all I want to do is try it is just daft!
The main benefit of the Birchbox for me is trying out new brands that I may otherwise have not come across before. The only time I am ever exposed to a mass amount of new brands and products is in a well stocked department store or a large drug store like Boots…
I hate these kind of places, they are only to be avoided. Pushy, scary, judgy sales staff that wear half of the products on the counter in one go. I find it off-putting. So, to have brands I have never heard of that are suitable based on what I need and like delivered straight to my door is more than ideal!

Here’s the product details from my September Box;
Polaar IcyMagic Eye Cream
Product itself is a lovely cooling, light cream. It certainly did lighten my area and make a great base for applying make up. However, I am very loyal to my current Clinique Pep Start eye cream.
Benefit They’re Real – Double the lip
I received this product in the ‘Pink Thrills’ colour combination; the deep pink colour really worked well with my skin and hair tone. The lipstick itself is very nourishing and last quite a few hours with no re-application required which I was impressed with. I usually have smoky eyes and a nude lip, but for nights out or if I am going lighter on the eye make up I really like a pop of colour of my lips to brighten my face. This lipstick is two-tone with a darker colour at the tip to act as a lip liner which makes it a bit different from a regular lip colour.
Manna Kadar 3in1 Eyeshadow
I received a full-sized sample of this which I was very impressed with as it usually retails at £15 which is more than the price of the entire Birchbox.
I’m a huge fan of universal shadows and powders so I have less containers – I prefer a minimal make up bag so it’s easy to find stuff when I am rushing in the mornings and its less stuff to keep clean. This powder can be used as an eyeshadow, a blusher or a highlighter. It is lightweight and can be built up for colour density. It’s highly pigmented so very easy to blend.
The colour I received was a pretty pink/brown colour which was perfect on my eyes or cheeks but a bit too dark as a highlighter, which didn’t bother me because I rarely use a highlighter.
Dr. Paw Paw Original Balm
I have heard a lot of good things about Dr. Paw Paw and have not been disappointed. I will definitely be re-purchasing this product in full size!
So far have used it on cuticles, dry hair ends, blemishes and blisters and it seems to cure dry cracked skin almost over night.
I can honestly say it is going to be my ‘go to’ product now!
I have heard about this product on social media but deemed it too expensive for me to buy on a whim so I was thrilled to find it in this months box!
I suffer with pigmentation, enlarged pores and uneven texture so I have experience of using other similar products to this.
After rinsing it of I could certainly see that my skin was slightly brighter and it feel very clean which was a lovely feeling. The next morning I could see more of a difference and found my pores were less obvious and skin was looking very bright and healthy from the moment I got out of bed.
A great product, but i do think it’s quite pricey for a clay mask so would probably only buy it as an occasional treat.
